SBG’s principals Chris and Cara Currey are Northwest natives and high school sweethearts. Having worked on both the sales and construction sides of homebuilding, they have a unique perspective on creating home collections that truly cater to what homeowners like you are looking for.
As a real estate team, the Curreys were no. 1 in Snohomish County and no. 2 in King County for volume of sales and total sales numbers. Since 2009, they have been responsible for $75 million in home sales.
As Seattle home builders managing hundreds of projects—from high-end custom to high-volume spec homes—for some of the region’s most prolific and well-respected builders and developers, they have spent countless hours reviewing and revising floor plans. They’ve heard from thousands of individuals on what they are looking for in a dream home. They’ve built a trusted network of contractors, industry experts and financing institutions for a seamless and worry-free experience from purchase to move in and beyond. And they’ve personally selected finishes for myriad homes, projects and developments. As a result, they have an intuition for livable design and the know-how to bring that vision to life.
Chris Currey, Owner
A veteran of building trades with more than 20 years of experience, Chris is fully immersed in every aspect of the homebuilding process—from construction to design to sales. He approaches each home with a strategic eye and commitment to excellence that is second to none, and his track record of success keeps clients coming back.
Chris’s extensive background includes experience as a general contractor, project manager for various bank asset assignments and home renovation specialist. He offers a unique skill set to SBG Homes clients, including:

Cara Currey, Owner
From land acquisition through design, Cara understands both the Seattle real estate market and the needs of her homebuyers. She incorporates her interiors with a harmonious blend of natural elements that bring added warmth to the living spaces and added value to the home.
Cara has been working in real estate in the greater Seattle area since 2001. Her designation as a Certified Site Professional puts her in a class that only 3 percent of brokers have earned.
